Hinton Drainage District Public Hearing Notice

To:     All Landowners, Lienholders, Encumbrancers, City of Hinton, Railroads, and any other interested parties in SW ¼ and the SE ¼ of  Section 31 and part SE ½ and SW ¼ of Section 32 in Plymouth Township.  Also including part of the NW ¼ and SW ¼ of Section 4 all of section 5, 6, 7, 8; and all of the NW ¼ and SW ¼ and part of the NE 1/4 in Section 9; all of NW ¼ and SW ¼ of Section 16; all of section 17, 18, 19, 20 and part NW ¼ of Section 21; the NW ¼ and NE ¼ of Section 29; and part of NE ¼ of Section 30 all in Hungerford Township.  Including also the SE ¼ and part of the NE ¼ of Section 1; and the NE ¼ and the SE 1/4 and part SW ¼ of Section 12; and all of Section 13; and in Section 24 the NW ¼ and NE ¼ and SE 1/4 and part of the SW ¼ all in Perry Township, Plymouth County, Iowa

 

Notice is hereby given that the Plymouth County Board of Supervisors has received a report from the Plymouth County Engineer recommending the annexation of additional parcels to the Hinton, Iowa Drainage District No. 1.  The Board of Supervisors will be holding a final public hearing on Tuesday July 18, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. in the Plymouth County Board Room at the Plymouth County Courthouse at 215 4th Ave. SE, Le Mars, Iowa, concerning the annexation of additional parcels into the existing Hinton, Iowa Drainage District No. 1.

 

It is also proposed that an assessment be made on the original and annexed parcels in the amount of $50.00 per parcel each year for a period of 5 years beginning with the 2023/24 fiscal year to fund the replacement of two bridges and for future fund balance for ongoing repairs and maintenance in the drainage district

 

Any claims for damages and any objections must be made in writing and filed with the office of the Plymouth County Auditor, at 215 4th Ave. SE, Le Mars, Iowa, prior to the time of the hearing.
