Engineer/Secondary Roads
Required to be a licensed civil engineer in the State of Iowa.
Term of employment is set by the Board of Supervisors, not to exceed three years.
Bond is set a minimum for $3,000.
Powers and duties of the County Engineer:
- Direct all construction and maintenance work of the Secondary Road Department.
- Develop a Secondary Road Construction Program.
- Inspect all contracts to confirm they are executed according to specifications of the Iowa Department of Transportation.
- Submit an annual report to the county and state of all road fund expenditures.
